My Jacob went for his annual angiogram and heart Cath on Monday and was immediately admitted to the icu. After nearly seven years (December15) of great health with his transplanted heart, he is waiting to be re listed because of a type of rejection that causes coronary blockage. We are shell shocked and scared to say the least.
So we are here at the best possible hospital... waiting......hoping... praying.....
How did the whole month of October get away from me? I've been very busy with my needle and hook, as well as some remodeling/refreshing here on Lavender Hill - that's how!
I did the kitchen in 2001 and then a smaller update in 2007 when we did the huge addition. Well, as is life, our styles and needs have changed, so I took advantage of a leak in one of the bathrooms upstairs to update the kitchen! Lots of painting, plastering and re-arranging going on. The sewing machine is whirring and so is my brain!
This one is not enjoying the commotion!
Uppies, Mama, the handy guy scares me!
Since the house was a mess and the handy guy was here ANYWAY....
I figured the living room, dining room, gym and gym bathroom might want some love too.
Oh and while we're at it -
the third floor twins suite needs attention too!
My poor hubby!
Since not much Fall-ification is getting done inside right now,
I thought I'd share some Fall Fun on the porch:
My boy has a cath on the 14th - this friday - to check for rejection...
So, hopefully I'll be back next week with fluffing updates and
I'm a chubby, middle aged, wife to the love of my life for 30 years and mommy to three amazing young men.
We live in an 1850's Victorian on a hill - lavender of course ! She is a constant work in progress and even after 25 years living here, she's not done yet.
I love creating, decorating, crafting, reading and being home.
